Terms of use
The short version: be honest about sources, respect other people's rights, and treat records as research.
Who runs this site
thearchivist.fun is run by The Archivist (thearchivist.fun). You can reach us at [email protected].
What the archive is
A source-led archive of internet culture: records, sources, research guides and community contributions. Records describe what the sources show and what remains uncertain. They are research, not a guarantee that every claim in a source is true, and nothing on the site is financial, legal or investment advice.
The site sells nothing. It has no payments, tokens, NFTs or wallets. Contribution points, game coins, XP, relics and badges have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold, transferred or withdrawn.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 years old, and old enough to accept these terms where you live. Keep your password and recovery code private: there is no email reset. One person, one account; automated play and mass sign-ups are not allowed. You can delete your account at any time from the Community registry.
What you contribute
You keep the rights you have in what you submit. By submitting you allow the archive to store, display, format and share your contribution as part of the archive, worldwide and without payment, for as long as it stays published. Only submit material you have the right to share, describe the source honestly, and state the rights you know about.
Do not submit other people's private information, harassment, sexual content involving minors, malware, spam, or material that infringes someone else's rights. Moderators decide what is published and may withdraw a record at any time.
The Stacks
The game is free. Its rules, balance and rewards may change, and progress may be reset if it was gained by exploiting bugs or automation.
Reports and removal
If something here infringes your rights, exposes personal information or is wrong, see Report or remove content.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise that it always will be. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from using it.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
