InVID–WeVerify: examine video through selected frames
The InVID–WeVerify verification plugin brings together tools used to investigate online images and video. The project documentation describes features such as extracting video frames and using them in reverse image searches. It is useful when a moving clip contains details that are difficult to inspect in a platform's player. Begin by preserving the clip's source URL and the exact claim attached to it. Select frames with distinctive features, compare search results and record timestamps for any detail you cite. Keep your observations separate from interpretations: a readable sign is an observation, while a proposed location still needs supporting evidence. Save links to the sources that corroborate or contradict the claim. Tools and platform integrations can change, so consult the current project instructions for the feature you need. A forensic visualization or automated signal should not become a verdict by itself. Compression, editing and missing metadata can complicate interpretation. Use the toolkit to organize evidence and test hypotheses, then explain the reasoning in ordinary language.
