ReplayWeb.page: inspect a portable web archive

ReplayWeb.page is an open-source viewer for static web archive files. Its documentation explains how to load archived items, explore their pages, share them and embed a viewer in another website. It is useful after collection, when you need to verify that preserved content remains understandable to someone who did not record it. Open a small archive first and inspect several pages, including images and important links. Compare the replay against a list of expected content rather than checking only the landing page. If text search is available, remember that it depends on the archive containing extracted text. Keep the archive file, its description and a record of the capture process together. Replay cannot reconstruct material that was never captured. A missing video or unavailable interaction may reflect capture limitations rather than a problem with the viewer. When sharing an archive, include its scope and known gaps so readers can distinguish an incomplete historical record from a fully functioning original website.
