ArchiveWeb.page: preserve what you browse
ArchiveWeb.page captures web content while you navigate through it, using a browser extension or desktop application. It suits small research collections, exhibitions and interactive pages where a person can deliberately open the tabs, sections or views that matter. The project points to ReplayWeb.page for viewing the resulting archives. Before recording, decide which public material belongs in the collection. Navigate slowly through the relevant states, then export the archive and test its replay. Keep a separate capture note containing the original URL, the collection date, the actions you performed and any features that did not survive. Store the exported file with your research notes rather than relying only on the browser's local copy. A browsing session captures only the content reached during that session. It does not automatically preserve every possible route through an application. Be deliberate about accounts and personal information: the fact that your browser can display something does not make it suitable for public redistribution.
