Descriptive transcript

A descriptive transcript combines speech with the visual details needed to understand a video. It can include speaker labels, meaningful actions, on-screen text, and changes that are not explained in the audio. It is especially useful for searching, close comparison, and access without watching the clip. Keep description separate from interpretation. Write that a title card displays a claim rather than silently endorsing the claim. Mark unclear words and missing context instead of guessing. Use timestamps when they help a reader return to the source, and identify the exact media version because edits can shift them. A transcript derived from captions often needs additional visual information. Review the finished text against the clip so it represents the relevant sequence accurately and does not turn a short excerpt into an apparently complete conversation.
