Secondary source

A secondary source can connect scattered evidence, explain context, and reveal disagreements that a single artifact cannot. A history of a platform or a researched explanation of a meme usually plays this role. Its value depends on the reasoning and source trail, not merely on how close it sounds to the original event. Follow important citations and inspect how the author uses them. Does the explanation distinguish an announcement from a release, a creator from a popularizer, and a documented example from an origin claim? Several secondary pages may repeat one underlying account. Record that dependency rather than counting each page as independent confirmation. In a brief, use secondary work to help frame the question while linking readers to the most relevant underlying evidence where it is available.
