Memory Is a Product of Attention

The internet produces more culture than it can remember. Most things become visible. Very few become durable. Repetition is not merely noise. It is a signal that a fragment has survived context. Meme Archive records those fragments, lets observers recover them, and treats absence as part of the record. Progress does not mean winning. It means seeing more of the system. Memes don’t die. They stop being remembered.

Context and provenance

The second release reframed the archive as a space for recovery, progress and durable attention. This manifesto preserves that product direction alongside the earlier statements about stillness and closure.
