Write a useful withdrawal note
When evidence changes, explain what changed and preserve the reasoning behind the earlier decision.
Context and provenance
Identify the exact approved record and the issue that requires action. Describe the new evidence without repeating unnecessary personal information or an unsupported accusation. Separate a factual correction from a rights concern and from a simple preference about how the archive is organized. These may require different responses.
In Editor desk, select the approved contribution, write the reason and withdraw its approval. The v5 service removes it from the public registry and records one reversal of the contribution points. Repeating the action does not repeatedly deduct points. The original decision and subsequent withdrawal remain in the server's audit trail. Withdrawal is not deletion of every stored copy.
Prepare a concise explanation that states the affected claim, its current status and a way to supply relevant evidence. If preparing a public correction outside this service, review its wording separately before publishing. A replacement record should cite the corrected source and identify its relationship to the earlier entry. Do not quietly rewrite a disputed claim into something it never originally said.
